These are VV Internet Hosting's policies stated plainly: an Acceptable Use Policy that keeps the shared network clean, a privacy summary, and the terms of using our services. The short version of the Acceptable Use Policy is that we refuse spam, attacks, malware, fraud, and illegal content — and that anything which harms children is met with zero tolerance, immediate removal, and a report to the authorities.
Acceptable Use Policy
A network is only as trustworthy as the activity on it. These rules exist to protect every customer who shares our address space and our links — because the reputation of that shared asset is what keeps your mail delivered and your services reachable.
Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email, evading filters, or any activity that gets our address space blocklisted and harms other senders.
Distributing malware, hosting phishing or fraud, credential theft, or deceptive content designed to harm or mislead others.
Launching denial-of-service attacks, scanning, intrusion attempts, or any unauthorised access to systems, ours or anyone else's.
Hosting or transmitting content that is illegal where we or the recipient operate, or using our services to facilitate illegal acts.
Activity that degrades the network for others — resource exhaustion, IP-reputation harm, or evading the limits of your plan.
This one is not a matter of degree. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material and for any activity that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor. Any such content or conduct is removed immediately, the account is terminated, and the matter is reported to the relevant authorities and reporting bodies as the law requires. There is no warning, no second chance, and no circumstance under which we treat this as negotiable.
We mention it plainly here rather than burying it in a clause because it reflects how seriously we take stewardship of the network. Protecting children is the one place where our usual preference for measured, case-by-case judgement gives way to an unconditional rule.
For most violations our response is proportionate: we contact you, ask for the problem to be fixed, and suspend or terminate only if it is not, or if the activity is serious enough to demand immediate action. Severe abuse — attacks, fraud, malware, or anything endangering others — can mean immediate suspension without prior notice, because the duty to the rest of the network comes first.
If you see abuse originating from our network, tell us at abuse@vvih.com and we will act on it quickly; for security vulnerabilities, write to security@vvih.com, where good-faith disclosure is welcomed and credited. Fast, honest handling of abuse is not a burden we tolerate — it is how the network stays clean for everyone on it.
Privacy
A plain summary of how we treat personal data — the short version of the formal policy.
Account and billing details you provide, and the operational data needed to run and secure your services (logs, metrics, abuse signals). No more than the job requires.
To provide the service, bill it, keep it secure, handle abuse, and meet legal obligations. Not to profile you for advertising.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it except with the sub-processors needed to run the service or where the law requires.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, subject to records we must keep by law. Write to us and we will help.
Terms
The essentials, in plain language.
Using our services means agreeing to these policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of the terms.
Services are billed as described at sign-up; prices are transparent, with no hidden egress or surprise line items. You can leave without a portability penalty.
We work hard for uptime and are honest about its limits; specific service levels, where offered, are set out in your service description.
We may update these policies; material changes are dated here, and the 'updated' date below tells you when this page last changed.
These plain-language summaries are written to be read and understood, and they reflect our actual policy. Where a formal contract, data-processing agreement, or full legal document governs your account, that document controls in the event of any conflict; ask us and we will provide the current version. Questions about any of this go to sales@vvih.com.
